Our founder

Prison Titans Consulting was founded by Tamar Lee, a former federal defendant who successfully challenged her conviction and secured a jury acquittal.
She has lived inside the system she now helps people navigate — the filings, the deadlines, the pressure to accept a plea and move on. She knows what it feels like to be told the odds are against you, because she was told the same thing.
She now uses that experience to help others: reading the record, finding the authority, planning the strategy, and preparing people to stand up and speak for themselves with clarity and command.
What we do
This is federal criminal law
These are cases where a person’s liberty, and sometimes their life, is on the line. We do not negotiate contracts and we do not negotiate default judgments. We help people fight their case, instead of taking a plea because no one showed them another way.

Pro se coaching
This is the work we are proudest of. We coach people who are defending themselves — through the filings, the preparation, and the day itself. Several of our clients have walked out of court with not guilty verdicts after being told by nearly everyone that they should give up and plead. Preparation is not a guarantee. It is the part you control.

If you already have counsel, we can quietly stand alongside the case and make sure nothing is being missed. We review what is filed, track what is owed, and flag the gaps — so that you and your family can ask informed questions and know that the case is being worked the way it deserves to be worked.
After sentencing

A sentence is not the end of the fight. Prison Titans helps people in federal custody and their families pursue every avenue of relief available after sentencing, with the strategy, preparation, and persistence the system counts on them not having.
We provide pro se support and consulting for:
- First Step Act (FSA) time credits: auditing calculations, identifying credits the Bureau of Prisons has missed or miscalculated, and pushing for correct application toward early release, home confinement, and halfway house placement.
- Post-conviction motions: preparing and strengthening § 2255 motions to vacate, set aside, or correct a sentence, and § 2241 habeas corpus petitions challenging how a sentence is being carried out.
- BOP administrative remedies: navigating the BP-8 through BP-11 process correctly and on time, so grievances are heard and the record is preserved for court.
- Rights protection: holding the Bureau of Prisons accountable on medical care, programming, classification, and conditions of confinement.
- Reentry transition: preparing for RRC and home confinement placement, Second Chance Act eligibility, and a stable, well-planned return home.
